When we hear there's a new café opening in Lincoln we are always hoping that there's going to be something a little bit different, something a touch unique that will help it stand out from the background.

With Salt & Fettle they didn't achieve that with gimmicks or novelty, but with a commitment to curating a space, a menu and a vibe that has it elevated above the crowd.

Situated inside the simply stunning Victorian building of the Barbican Creative Hub that sits opposite Lincoln train station, Salt & Fettle is surrounded by creatives working in their studios, developing ideas into works of art and cultivating an atmosphere that each artist feeds from and adds to. And it's this environment that we think has marinated its way into the fabric of Salt & Fettle.

The combination of heritage architectural features and clean modern design creates a perfect blank canvas for the real art, which is the fresh seasonal menu, with a philosophy of using whole ingredients sourced as locally as possible.
